The National Taxi & Private Hire Driver Survey 2026
Two years ago, more than 40% of drivers told us the job was no longer worthwhile. Now we're asking again, and we want to know what has changed.
Over 1,400 taxi and private hire drivers from across the UK took part in the first survey, sharing their experiences, challenges, and views on the future of the industry.
This year, we want to make it even bigger. We’re trying to map the licensing journey across the UK to find out where things are causing problems and what could be made easier for you.
Why complete the survey?
It takes 10 minutes. Most questions are quick taps, with space to add your own words if you want to.
It's completely anonymous. We don't sell, share or repurpose your answers. They're used only to produce the report.
It gives you a chance to win. We’re entering every driver who submits a response into a prize draw to win a £500 Halfords voucher.
